Wicked Flight

Wicked Flight is the result of the first game jam I participated in—Kaboom’s Backlog Game Jam, a 48 hour event put on by Bradley students. The theme was Late Night, and I developed this game solo.

I set out to make a side-scrolling endless runner game, which I’d been interested in trying. The result was a game about a witch trying to outrun the sunrise and have the longest possible night. I created about a dozen obstacle formations, which are flipped over one or two axes, as well as a boss encounter where you dodge attacks from a wizard. The gameplay loop is unpolished, and the obstacle spawning mechanism is prone to shutting off, but ultimately, I’m proud of what I was able to accomplish as a solo freshman dev.
